Monday, 10 March, we'll rendezvous at Ft. Myers Beach in the afternoon.
After picking up a mooring ball for the night, there will be some free time
to explore before we'll dinghy to a local restaurant for dinner.
Tuesday, we'll anchor in the Myakka River. (North end of Charlotte
Harbor if you have not been there before...) Afternoon exploring by
dinghy should be fun. Depending on the number & size of the boats, we'll have 2 - 4 couples gather
on one boat for a dinner of heavy hors d'oeuvres. Wednesday,
we'll travel to Burnt Store or other marina on Charlotte Harbor.
Dinner will be ashore and everyone can pump heads and water up. Our
last night out we'll anchor on east side of Useppa or Pelican Bay (Cayo
Costa). Dinner will be on
board,
A dinghy is not required to participate in this cruise. Those who have them will provide ferry service for those who need a ride. A skippers meeting will be held the prior week, in two parts. The required first part will cover where we're going, when, etc. The optional second part will review basics of anchoring, picking up a mooring ball, etc.
